A most interesting evening

On Sunday, Thomas and I finally went to see "Juno."
It was a really great movie, and happened to be set
in Minnesota. As we were walking from the cinema to
the Metro station, I was talking about some of the
Minnesota references, in English of course. A woman
overheard and came running over, saying "excuse me!"
I figured it was just another tourist – lost, and
excited to find an English speaker to get directions
from. No, no. It was much more random than
that.But wait! There's
more!

I have a MacBook.

My MacBook, Kurhah, has a Danish keyboard. The orange
keys are special keys that add accents to other
letters. So for example that one to the right of the
+, if I hit that and then hit e I get é.But
wait! There's more!
Tomorrow, I'm 30.

I remember several years ago, someone told me that
her 30th birthday wasn't a big deal because she
already basically "dealt with" it on her 29th. I
thought that was weird at the time, but I totally get
it now. Last year, it was all "omg I'm almost 30."
But I've been thinking of myself as 30 for a while
now, and it's not shocking anymore. Sometimes I
literally forgot I hadn't actually turned 30 yet.
Tomorrow I turn 30, and I'll still be in the same
awesome life. I love where I am, what I'm doing, with
whom I'm doing it, and where things seem to be going.
I love my life.
A little less than a week ago, my morning sickness finally started to subside. I won't say I'm "back to normal" (I'm not even sure that's possible… I'm thinking that pregnancy and motherhood creates a whole new normal and you never go back to the previous one) but I'm finally able to enjoy myself again and I'm really looking forward to meeting and raising this new human being.
