pleeeeease tell me this is over soon

For the past 12 hours or so, I’ve had contractions every 3-5 minutes. They suck. It’s painful. But they last less than a minute and a half so the hospital doesn’t want me to come in yet. The midwife said I should get some sleep instead. Um, yeah. How exactly does one sleep through that? Especially when they are way more intense when I lay down. So it’s been a great night.

I’ve read too many “I was in labor for three days” horror stories. Please send me SOON vibes. I’m going crazy.

Comments from old blog

Good luck!
Janine AKA Blushingrose | 2008-09-08 13:04 | #

Wow, I hope that was it and that you had a short labor and the pain wasn’t too bad. If it ended up not being the real thing, I hope it happens for you very soon.

I hate when they say sleep through the contractions. Who the heck can possibly do that?

Anyway, I hope you, Thomas, and Dagmar are all doing well. The Vatsa Jensens are rooting for you.
Suchi | 2008-09-08 16:30 | #

Darn! I was really hoping to come here and find out Dagmar had arrived.

I’m wishing you the best!

hope your lille pige decides to come soon. Sending a lot of vibes your way.

silly high school meme

Thanks Aleesha.

Fill this out about your SENIOR year of high school! The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be!

Did you marry someone from your high school? No
Did you carpool to school? My mother dropped me off on the way to work.
What kind of car did you have? I have never had a car.
It’s Friday night…where are you? (then) Mikato or the movie theater with friends
It’s Friday night..where are you? (now) home
What kind of job did you have in high school? none
What do you do now? housewifery
Were you a party animal? not at all
Were you considered a flirt? no
Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? no
Did you get suspended/expelled? no
Can you sing the fight song? Did we have a fight song?
Who was/were your favorite teacher(s)? most of the foreign language department
Where did you sit during lunch? by the barracks in the back, with Dawn and Kevin
What was your school’s full name? A. Crawford Mosley High School
When did you graduate? 1996
What was your school mascot? dolphins
If you could go back and do it again, would you? You could not pay me enough to relive a single day of it, no.
What do you remember most about graduation? My cap and gown were green.
Did you have fun at prom? I didn’t go senior year.
Do you still talk to the person you went to prom with? n/a
Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? It already happened and I didn’t go because the invitation I got for it was so poorly done I was embarrassed to be even tangentially related to it, and I figured if so little effort were put into that, then the event itself would probably suck enough to not be worth the time and money to make it.
Do you still talk to people from school? Not really but it’s fun to see their facebook statuses and stuff.

BTW, yes, I’m still pregnant. If you want to get a text message when that changes, make sure that I have your mobile number and I’ll include you on our mass SMS list. There’s no internet at the hospital so that’ll be the first way we contact people.
